How much does pallet rack cost?

Price depends on pallet positions, rack height, beam capacity, decking, freight and installation. Send your pallet size, heaviest load per level, clear height and building size for a free CAD layout and itemized quote. We separate materials, freight and installation so you can compare proposals on the same basis. The layout shows the proposed rows and usable positions before you choose the system.

What type of pallet rack do I need?

Selective teardrop rack is the usual starting point for mixed SKUs and direct access to each pallet. Pushback stores one SKU two to six deep using LIFO; pallet flow suits FIFO and dated stock; drive-in suits bulk quantities of few SKUs. Cantilever supports long loads, while carton flow serves case picking. We compare the options against your inventory depth, turnover and handling equipment before recommending a layout.

Can I add on to my existing pallet rack?

Usually, if the connection matches and the capacities suit the proposed configuration. Teardrop connections are not universal across manufacturers. Send photos of the upright face, beam connector and any identification label so we can check compatibility before quoting new components. We also need current beam elevations, pallet weights and the proposed extension to confirm that the added positions fit the existing arrangement.

What aisle width do I need?

Counterbalance forklifts typically need about 12–13 feet, reach trucks about 8–10 feet, and very-narrow-aisle equipment about 5–6 feet. Confirm the working aisle requirement for your actual truck and load before finalizing rows. Pallet overhang, turning movements and the largest load all affect the space needed. We use your equipment specifications in the CAD layout so the proposed positions remain accessible during normal handling.

Do you install pallet rack?

Yes. We provide design, supply and installation by experienced installation crews we schedule and manage. The agreed layout sets out row positions, beam elevations and access aisles before material arrives. Installation includes rack anchored to the floor and capacity labeling for the specified configuration. We coordinate work zones with your operations team and review the completed arrangement before your team starts loading the new positions.

Our Warehouse Racking Products

Compare six warehouse rack systems, including combinations of selective storage, deep lanes and dedicated pick areas.

Pallet Rack

Also called selective pallet rack

Every pallet reachable, every time. The baseline we size everything else against.

Pushback Rack

Also called push back pallet rack system

Two to six pallets deep from one aisle, without giving up much reach.

Pallet Flow Rack

Also called flow through racking

Load one side, pick the other, and let gravity enforce first in, first out.

Drive-In Rack

Also called drive through pallet racking

No aisles. The forklift enters the structure, and the floor holds more pallets per square foot than any other system.

Cantilever Rack

Also called cantilever warehouse racking

Arms with nothing in front of them, built for lumber, pipe, and anything a pallet can't hold.

Carton Flow Rack

Also called carton flow shelving

Cases advance to the picker instead of the picker hunting for cases.

Choosing Between Rack Types

Four things decide the answer: how many SKUs you carry, how many pallets you hold of each one, how fast product turns, and how much height the building gives you.

Many SKUs with a pallet or two each point to selective pallet rack. Several pallets of the same item favor pushback. Date-driven rotation calls for pallet flow. Large volumes of a few items in a tight footprint suit drive-in. Long material needs cantilever, and case picking needs carton flow.
