    Warehouse Relocation in Milwaukee, WI

Moving a Milwaukee warehouse means more than booking a truck. Orders still need to ship while rack comes down, components need to reach the right building together, and the new floor plan must work before the first pallet arrives. A move from a Menomonee Valley production building to a larger distribution space can change your aisle widths, loading pattern and available height in one step. Our warehouse relocation service starts with those differences, rather than assuming the old rows belong in the same arrangement. We plan the rack move around receiving, shipping and the inventory that must remain accessible throughout the transition.

Warehouse Equipment & Supplies Co. provides rack teardown, component labeling, transport coordination and reinstallation. Talk with Milwaukee Pallet Rack about the lease dates, building drawings and rack you want to reuse, and request a free design consultation before committing to a moving sequence.

    How Warehouse Relocation Works

    1

    Survey and inventory

Record frame dimensions, beam lengths, connector styles, damage and existing load information. Separate reusable components from items that need replacement before teardown begins.

    2

    Label and dismantle

Assign identifiers to rows and component bundles, unload each work zone, and dismantle in an agreed sequence. Protect adjacent operations and keep access routes open.

    3

    Coordinate transport

Plan bundle sizes, loading order, dock appointments and unloading space with your carrier. Keep matching parts together and align each shipment with the installation sequence.

    4

    Rebuild to the new plan

Install approved rows with suitable anchors and protection, check alignment and capacities, and confirm the finished layout before your team reloads inventory.

    Common Design Questions

    • What are your lease exit and new-building access dates?
    • How much rack is being reused, and do you have its original ratings?
    • Which orders and inventory must remain accessible during the move?
    • Who is handling inventory, freight and loading equipment?
    • Does the new building have the clear height and access needed for the proposed rack?

    What a Project Includes

Start by sending drawings of both buildings, photos of the current rack, the component inventory and your move dates. We discuss inventory levels, forklift specifications and which shipping functions must remain live. A measured review identifies damaged steel and missing capacity information; neither should be carried into the next building without checking suitability and identifying components that need replacement.

The new layout is drawn around columns, docks, clear height and travel paths. Reusing rack does not mean reusing its former capacity rating without checking the new configuration. New frames, beams, decking or protection can be quoted alongside the reusable material.

Teardown follows agreed work zones. Components are labeled and bundled so the reinstallation crew can identify each shipment. Transport coordination covers carrier responsibilities, loading order and receiving appointments; inventory moving and general freight services are defined separately rather than assumed to be included in rack work.

Reinstallation follows the approved drawings and anchor specification. The handover includes the agreed component schedule, layout, capacity documentation and outstanding items. Your operations team can then assign locations and reload in sequence. A clear proposal separates teardown, freight coordination, installation and new rack so the move budget is understandable before work begins.
